Changes to my study programme

I study sound engineering. My major has a good balance between artistic and mathematics. I like that. But I thing some things could be improved.

Sometimes it's too much theory. Maybe could be better if we have the opportunity to do more hands-on practice. In our future work we can make a lot of thing related sound. And it's hard to imagine the work with consoles, microphone and cables if we don´t deal with it while studying. I´m would be happy if I could have more practical things to learn from the beginning.

As for the duration, I think it's fine. I mean, I'd be happy if it was as short as possible. And on the other hand, it could be longer because of the number of subjects. Sometimes they seem to be a lot for the semester. But I think these are common ideas of a student.

In the case of faculty, it can definitely be better. I think it's very difficult to study when you don't have a comfortable space. In our case the space sometimes is not enough. We don´t have good places to study, only the classrooms. And the gadgets that are related to the major sometimes are not enough for a growing career. It would be great if we could have the opportunity to have more things.

I think that although the atmosphere with the professors and their methodologies is good. We could have more variety in the classes. I mean, in most cases we have only one professor per class. And I understand, we are a small major. But some variety is also good. Some professors do the same class for too long. We lost the opportunity to do different things, to learn other things.

My major is good. I like it. But we can definitely be better.

Time travel to the past or future

I don't know if I want to travel to another time. I like the present. Maybe it will be better in the future, but now I'm happy. I like the things we have. I like the opportunities we have.

Maybe if I had the opportunity to travel to another time for a limited time I would probably travel to the past. Just for curiosity. Curiosity to see what the world is like, what people are like. Maybe do something or meet someone specific.

Now I don't sure when exactly. I think it would be interesting to see a little bit of the past in general. Maybe some historical time. If it's in Chile, maybe to some time when the fathers of the fatherland existed. Just to see those times when people were very patriotic. It's something curious. To see the people dancing cueca when it was a dance party

Or if it's somewhere else. something like to the time when I was able to meet Amelia Earhart or Ada Lovelace. Or even see a little bit of the world when Cleopatra was pharaoh. Or maybe something closer like getting to see a Soda Stereo concert with Cerati. Things like that.

However, I think in any era it's hard to adapt. And in any time it's hard to be a woman. So I'd rather save it. I would do it just out of curiosity to see a little bit of the past from a little bit closer. Nothing definitive. Nothing for a long time.

My Dream Job

I don't have any dream job. I just try to do what I think I enjoy in the present. But there is something that is probably close to what I think would be a fun job. Work in a musical project. Like series or movies.

When I chose my major, I was really lost for what I want. I've always liked music and that world. But I never through about working in it. Until I saw a musical series that I loved. I felt interested in learned more about what the filming process.

I think it's nice to join in a job where you work with sound or visual things. Specially with movies. And in a musical, you can do a lot of things. Work on choreography, music, sound, wardrobe, lighting, etc. I think it can be really nice to work on a small part of something. And then see your work and that of your colleagues. I like that idea of teamwork.

In that case you can learn/study about whatever you want in the world of arts. I'm thinking more of something audiovisual related. In my case, sound. Probably if you know that kind of stuff and find good equipment, it will be a great experience. But it's important to work on other kinds of projects first.

I really don´t know what the salary is like. It probably depends on the type of musical. The industry is big.  But it's fine with me in any case. If I can work in something like that in a future, I would probably do it to fulfill the dream.

The best concert ever

My best concert probably was Morat's. Morat is a Colombian four-piece band. They have some pretty famous songs like ''Mi Nuevo Vicio'' with Paulina Rubio, ''Besos En Guerra'' with Juanes, and the viral tiktok ''No se va''. They play Latin pop, although at some point they were called a folkpop band.

Their first concert in Chile was in 2017. At that time, they were not a famous band here, so it was just a small promotional concert at the GAM.  I went with my sister and my cousin. That was a great experience because I could see them up close and listen their songs for first time in live. But that isn't the concert that I want to talk.
In October 2022 was the last concert of theirs I've been to so far. It was at the Movistar Arena. And it was amazing to see how much they have grown. The songs, the stage, the lights, the sound, everything was amazing. I have probably never screamed as much as I did that day. Also, this time I shared my fanaticism with a lot more people. Even the fan action was a lot of fun.

My favorite moment was when they sang ''506''. I love that song, and I really enjoyed that's moment. Their songs are for screaming, so it's normal that you don't hear yourself while you're at the concert. It's very liberating.
I'm a big fan of them. So I hope their concert will still be a surprise for me, one better than next one.

What country would I like to visit?

Coast of Monte Carlo, Monaco

I would like to visit Monaco. It is a country in the south of France, it is a principality and it is the second smallest state in the world and its official language is French.

It's a very interesting idea for me to go there because I like formula one. That's where the Monaco Grand Prix is held, one of the f1 races that take place throughout the year.

This is the country of birth of my favorite driver, Charles Leclerc, he is a Ferrari driver and I think it would be very exciting for me to see him racing at home, and I am very curious to know more about the place.

As far as I know in Monaco education is free, although since it is a small country it is very common for people to study or work in France. For this reason I don't know if I would really like to live there, but I would have to know more about what the place is like to decide. At the moment I would like to see a race in Monaco.
